April Lockhart was born on the Fourth of July in 1995 in “Jersey”. Born in a musical family, she’s always loved songwriting and music.
In May, April began writing and recording her first EP titled “Different”. The EP has 6 original songs that were written by April and her band of co-writers. At first listen you’ll be able to enjoy her personal musical journey with influences’ like Sara Bareilles, Colbie Caillat, and Avril Lavigne.
April’s constant companion is “Birdie.” Birdie is a small prosthetic that holds her guitar pick. Since April was born with UBS, uterine band syndrome, she’s plays piano and guitar without a left hand. Birdie got her name after a friend painted her prosthetic and it ended up looking like a peacock. This wonderful devise allows her to play guitar, giving April time to focus on singing and performing.
